We clean carpets. We keep as little about you as we can, we use it to quote and to turn up, and we never sell it.

Who we are

D&P Carpet Cleaning Services, cleaning carpets, upholstery, mattresses and car interiors across Greater London. We are responsible for the information on this page. To ask us anything about your details, email info@dpcarpetcleaning.co.uk or ring 07864 061665.

Asking us for a quote

The form on this site asks for your name, your email address, your phone number and whatever you want to tell us about the job. The phone number is there because carpet cleaning is priced on what we can see — room sizes, how bad the staining is, whether there are pets — and that is a two-minute call rather than a long email.

We use those details to quote and to reply, and for nothing else. Asking us for a price does not put you on a mailing list.

We keep enquiries for about a year so we can look back at a conversation, then they go. Where we have actually done the work, we have to keep the invoice for six years because HMRC requires it. That is the one thing we cannot delete on request, and we will say so if it applies to you.

Coming to your home

To do the work we need your address and a phone number to let you know we are on our way. We keep it with the job while the job is live, and after that only on the invoice. We do not pass your address to anybody, and we do not call back later trying to sell you another clean.

The before and after photographs

We photograph the carpets and upholstery we clean, and some of those photographs are on this website. They are pictures of the work — a patch of carpet, a sofa cushion, a car seat — not of your home, your family or anything that says where you live. We never publish the address a job was at, and if you would rather we did not photograph your carpet at all, say so when we arrive and we will not.

If a photograph of yours is already on the site and you want it taken down, email us and it comes down. You do not have to give a reason.

WhatsApp

If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation sits in WhatsApp and is covered by their privacy terms as well as this page. We read it, we reply to it, and we do not copy it anywhere else.

Counting visits

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts visits without cookies and without anything that identifies you. It tells us how many people looked at the site this week. It cannot tell us who they were, and that is exactly why we chose it. We set no cookies of our own, which is why this site does not stop you with a cookie banner.

Things loaded from elsewhere

The areas section shows a Google map. That is loaded by Google as you view the page, so Google can see your internet address and may set its own cookies, in the same way it would if you had opened Google Maps yourself. Everything else on the page comes from our own server.

The website server

Our server keeps a short record of requests made to the site, including the internet address they came from, and a line for each enquiry sent through the form. We use it to spot someone trying to break in or to flood us with spam, and it is deleted when the site is next updated.

Who else sees any of this

Appy Web Studio, who build and run this website for us, and the email service they use to deliver form enquiries to our inbox. Both only handle it to provide their service to us. Nobody buys this information from us and nobody is given it for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do it — apart from the invoices above. You can also tell us to stop using it. Just email us; you do not need to explain why, and it costs nothing.

If you are not happy

Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
